Netanyahu claimed, in a video statement published on Sunday: "something ridiculous happens ... European countries working to circumvent the US sanctions imposed on Iran. European countries are rushing to support this regime .. As Iran bombs Saudi oil facilities and seeks to enrich uranium for the manufacture of nuclear weapons, European countries are seeking to make more concessions to it."
The prime minister expressed that "those European countries should be ashamed of themselves," as he put it.
"This is the time to change course. This is the time to tighten pressure on Iran, not to ease it," he said.
Netanyahu's comments came after Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden announced on Saturday that they would join "INSTEX" for commercial financial transactions with Iran set by France, Britain and Germany after Washington withdrew from the nuclear deal with Tehran.
